穿越時空的藩籬，我們遊走在臺中舊城區的建築裡，串連未來與過往的記憶，一步步將歷史之美重修舊好，藉由觀看與想像，將城中的未來風景，另存新檔。
另存新檔 OPEN A NEW PAGE，不僅代表打開新頁面，也象徵打開臺中州廳，讓長時間累積的文資修復紀錄變得透明，邀請民眾遊走展場空間，體驗建築修復與藝術展品共造的新氣象，讓在地生活的記憶復存，也為場域寫下嶄新印象。
Crossing the barriers of time and space, visitors wander through the architectural history of Taichung’s Midtown, where a city’s future is built upon the memories of the past. Step by step, the beauty of history is rebuilt and restored. At the same time, through observation and imagination, we “open a new page” to usher in the future face of Taichung Midtown.
The title, Open a New Page, refers not only to the idea of “turning over a new page” in the chapter of Taichung’s history, but also symbolizes the re-opening of the former Taichung City Hall. The records detailing the restoration of this cultural heritage site have been made open to the public who are invited to walk the building’s halls and exhibition spaces and experience the beauty of its artistic works and architectural restoration.
The former Taichung City Hall, therefore, stands not only as a historical marker, but a space where the creation of new memories and impressions becomes possible.
